K. reported its first COVID-19 death and biggest daily jump in the number of new COVID-19 cases with 87 people now confirmed to have the lethal coronavirus. The Department of Health said three of the new U. SkyNews reports that Boris Johnson, Prime Minister warns that it is now “highly likely” the virus will now spread in a “significant way.”

Dominoes Are Falling in World Drug Industry Supply

Chinese factories have been the major world supplier of antibiotics and vitamins. But with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic raging, those factories have been closed for weeks.

Now India, with its huge pharmaceutical industry, has been forced to stop exporting 26 drugs and drug ingredients — including for the pain reliever acetaminophen and several antibiotics. The reality is that most of the pharmaceutical ingredients that India has processed ORIGINATE from China, the nation hit first and hardest so far by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people in many countries now with other health problems that need daily medicines are desperately contacting hospitals and health organizations for help.

But that’s why Indian authorities yesterday on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, “ordered India’s vast pharmaceutical industry to stop exporting 26 drugs and drug ingredients, most antibiotics, without explicit government permission,”  according to The New York Times, which also reported today that India’s Fitch Ratings that follows the pharmaceutical industry for India, reports: “If this trend of diminishing drugs and drug ingredients continues beyond March 2020 and the coronavirus spreads to other regions in China and around the globe, we expect a disruption of the supply chains and everyone will be hit — every sector.”
